Contact Me

I create art work using my own glass beads and sculptures, and copper sheet, tubing and wire. Sometimes they are combined into new art objects. Please explore my site to see the many pieces available.

I am in the process of increasing my presence in art galleries and shows. Check out "My Outlets" for information.

A Comission

In July, 2011, I was comessioned to construct a statue for an Aninistrator that was retiring from True North Art Center.

This person was always ready to do things better, and never let difficulty get in her way. Her motto was: "Reach for the Stars".

I designed and constructed this trophy like piece of work with that in mind.

At her retirement reception, I presented her with this statue, and she was very moved.

Reach for the Stars

How it was made

The body was cut from heavy sheet copper.

Many of the stars were cut from thin copper and tin. The remainder were lampwork glass. The stars were strung or soldered on thin music wire, which was then soldered to the arms.

The base is a field stone, drilled for a pin. The pin is soldered to the one leg. This allows the piece to rotate, or be disassembled for storage.

This type of construction could be used for many types of presentations.
